Cypress Hills Butterfly Count - Cancelled

Leader: Dave McKenzie

Date: Sat, Jun 25

This trip has been cancelled due to forecast cold, rain and wind.

We'll meet at the Visitor Centre at 9:00am and receive our instructions then. Ted Pike has committed to the event.  As one of the authors of "Alberta Butterflies" he deserves our support in order to make the day a success.

This will be an annual event organized by Grasslands Naturalists.  We will likely divide into 2 groups, one led by Ted and one by me.   We'll need people to net butterflies and bring them to us for identifying as well as recorders to tally each species seen. No experience necessary. Nets will be provided.

It's a beautiful time of year in the hills; I'm sure we'll all have a great time.
