Nature Centre Hours: Open Year Round, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Tuesday to Sunday (Closed Mondays and Some Holidays)

Located in beautiful Police Point Park, Medicine Hat, Alberta, the Interpretive Program offers Nature programming and activities to the public all year long.

Plus we specialize in curriculum based programming for schools and groups.

The Nature Centre is closed because of Covid-19 restrictions.  Staff is on-site regularly and is available by phone.  If necessary, please leave a message and we will contact you as soon as possible.
Family/Accessible Washroom NEW HOURS: 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM Daily. The washroom will be cleaned twice daily at 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The main washrooms remain closed at this time.

New Activities Available!

  • World Migratory Bird Day is coming May 8 – help celebrate by posting a photo and story to our Facebook page or email us with your photo and story.
  • Robert Bateman’s Sketch Across Canada Sketchbooks are still available.  If you haven’t got yours yet, phone us or stop by during staff hours and pick one up!
  • Explore MH’s beautiful trail system! Grab a map from the box outside the Nature Centre or use the digital version. Remember to practice good physical distancing!
