Police Point Park Nature Centre
The Police Point Park Nature Centre is home to the MH Interpretive Program and is always worth a visit! New exhibits are created regularly and our enthusiastic Park Interpreters always look forward to connecting with visitors.
Be sure to check out our Nature Shop for a selection of natural and human history books, local art, children’s nature-related items, bird feeders and bird seed. Income from the Nature Shop supports the year-round programming of the MH Interpretive Program.

The MH Interpretive Program has fantastic, fun birthday parties for children!
Birthday programs typically last 1.5 – 2 hours. Add an extra 1/2 hour at the end of the program to serve your cake and open presents! Use our indoor theatre, outdoor patios, or fire pit area.
All birthday programs can be customized! We can usually offer nature-related themes that are not listed here.
|Birds, Birds, Birds||Police Point Park has so many cool birds around all year long! At this party we’ll learn about local birds, go looking for them, and then make a feeder to attract them to your own yard.||About 1.5 hours||$180 for up to 10 kids*|
|Cross-Country Skiing||Enjoy a guided ski around Police Point Park. Learn about the park as you explore it from a completely new perspective.||About 1.5 hours||$180 for up to 10 kids*|
|Geocaching||Can you find the hidden caches throughout the park? Learn how to use a GPS to navigate. See if you can find them all!||About 2 hrs||$180 for up to 10 kids*|
|Orienteering||Complete an orienteering course with your friends and explore some less-travelled areas of Police Point Park. Test your navigation skills using only a compass and paper map!||About 2 hrs||$180 for up to 10 kids*|
|Scavenger Hunt||Explore some of the far corners of the park with a nature-sensitive, customized scavenger hunt!||About 1.5 hrs||$180 for up to 10 kids*|
|Tipi||Kids help set up a traditional Blackfoot tipi and spend time inside! Then cook bannock over a fire.||About 2 hrs||$200 for up to 10 kids*|
|Ukrainian Egg Decorating||Explore this beautiful art form that has been practiced for centuries. Each child will get to create a beautiful egg to take home!||About 2 hrs||$200 for up to 10 kids*|

The Nature Centre theatre can be rented for meetings and gatherings! Our theatre:
- Measures 23′ x 23′
- Has AV capabilities (flat-screen TV and sound system)
- Can fit up to 25 people with non-fixed seating and tables
- Can fit up to 40 people with non-fixed seating only
Bookings During Normal Hours of Operation (Tuesday – Sunday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
$35 per hour
$150 per day
Bookings Outside of Normal Hours of Operation may be arranged and start at $70 per hour.
